Dear Parents and Carers, Staff and Students
Welcome to a new school year, full of promise and potential. I extend a warm welcome to our new families who I am sure will quickly become a special part of our St Joseph's community.

We are also welcoming back Jeannine Williams as our Cleaner. We are very pleased to have her back as part of our St Joseph's family!

Parent and Carers Meet & Greet
Upon dropping your child off to their classroom at 8:30am next Tuesday, please join us in the Library for our Parent and Carers Meet & Greet!
Swimming Carnival
Our Swimming Carnival is happening on Monday, 10th February (week 3) from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Long Tan Swimming Pool! 🏊♂️
Swimming permission notes for students in years 3-6 will be sent home during week 1. Please complete the permission note online via the Compass App or web browser.
Swimming Lessons
Swimming lessons for Years 1, 2, and 4 will commence in Week 3 on Friday, 14 February 2025 at Kokoda Memorial Pool. Permission notes will be sent out via Compass in Week 1. Please ensure you complete the permission note online through the Compass app or your web browser.
Year 6 students will participate in a swimming intensive later this term, with permission notes to be sent out closer to the date.
Prep, Yr 3 & 5 will participate in swimming lessons in Term 4.

School Fees & Preferred Payment Methods.
Please ensure that we have up to date family details and Concession Cards. A new Multi School Discount form needs to be completed for 2025.
Please note our preferred payment method is BPay.
Absentees
Is your child absent from school? Please notify the office via
- emailing absent@sjmbtsv.catholic.edu.au
- calling the office and leaving a message at the absent option
- parent/guardian can note the absence through Compass
A text message will go out at 9.45am to any parents whose child is marked absent without an explanation. Please reply to this text using one of the above methods. If your child arrives after 8.30am, they must pass through the office for a late pass so that if the role has been marked at the classroom, office staff can make the amendment for the arrival. We thank parents for assisting with this. Roles are marked promptly at 8.30am on Mondays due to assembly - students are required to collect a late pass before moving to assembly if they are late.

Medication
If your child needs medication administered at school, a Medication Consent Form needs to be completed. Please find the form attached below. A new consent form needs to be signed every year. If you have questions about your child having medication at school, please speak to our office staff.
Tuckshop
Our school Tuckshop is open Monday to Friday for both morning tea and lunch orders. Flexischools offers a convenient way to order school lunches online.
Our Tuckshop Menu is also available on our school website.
New families: When downloading the Flexischools app, please note that the website is case-sensitive. Enter our school name as "St Joseph's Catholic School Mundingburra" or alternatively, use our postcode 4812 to search for our school.
